# Advance Your Career

## Leadership, Education and Advancement Program–LEAP

Its purpose is two-fold: to advance education and professional development, and to manage and confer, based on a standardized body-of-knowledge exam, the [Certified Smart Card Industry Professional](https://www.securetechalliance.org/activities-leap-cscip) (CSCIP) designation.

LEAP members with a minimum of 2 years professional experience in the smart card industry are eligible to apply for [CSCIP certification](https://www.securetechalliance.org/activities-leap-cscip).

LEAP is especially valuable for new entrants to the market or professionals working for small organizations without access to full Secure Technology Alliance membership benefits.

## LEAP and CSCIP

LEAP members with a minimum of 2 years professional experience in the smart card industry are eligible to advance their professional development in the smart card industry by applying for CSCIP certification.
