The Smart Card Alliance will answer these questions and more at a full-day in-person and live-webcasted workshop, “Mobile Wallets – the Wild West of Payments,” on September 15.

The one-day workshop, being held at the Alliance’s National Center for Advanced Payments and Identity Security in Crystal City, Virginia, will be streamed live for easy accessibility for those looking to keep up with the technology issues and business drivers effecting the mobile payments industry. “The mobile wallet market is the Wild West of the payments industry because it has a myriad of solutions, there are no commonly-used security standards, and it is an open territory for innovation,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Smart Card Alliance. “This workshop will help attendees to understand all of the mobile wallet variations, the different approaches to security, and the differentiation of wallet schemes by the leading brands.”
