Smart Card Alliance Announces Identity Management and Cybersecurity Keynote Presentations for 13th Annual Government Conference
Leading event for ID security will be held Oct. 29-30 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Princeton Junction, N.J., October 8, 2014 – Cybersecurity and identity management keynote presentations are set to headline the 13th Annual Smart Card Alliance Government Conference, known as the leading event for ID security. The Government Conference will feature industry leaders speaking on PIV credentials, updates on NSTIC , developments in mobile identity programs, and evolving NIST standards. New this year, the conference will also provide expanded discussions on FICAM roadmap and testing programs, healthcare ID and biometric technology, and mobile credentials storage and security.
The 13th Annual Smart Card Alliance Government Conference will be held Oct. 29-30, 2014 with pre-conference workshops on Oct. 28 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event will kick off on Oct. 29 with special keynote presentations and an executive roundtable discussion on emerging technologies addressing digital identities and experiences from implementations of government and commercial identity applications. Keynote speakers and panelists include:

Following the keynote presentations, attendees will be able to choose among multiple identification, security technology and policy track panels to create their own customized conference experience. Conference speakers, panels and roundtable discussions will cover the latest identity management and security trends affecting government and commercial security programs, including mobile credentials, healthcare, cybersecurity and international e-government programs. Attendees can also visit the exhibit hall to see technology demonstrations from more than 50 exhibitors.
In addition to the main program, the Smart Card Alliance is holding a pre-conference workshop in conjunction with the conference on Oct. 28, “Personal Identity Verification (PIV) in Enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (EPACS) Workshop.”
This workshop will provide Federal agencies and PACS industry participants with a comprehensive understanding of EPACS architectures, the use of high assurance credentials with EPACS and the impact that this move has on PACS implementation. The workshop will have in-depth sessions on EPACS architecture, FICAM-enabled authentication mechanisms, EPACS implementation and PIV credential use, GSA EPACS procurement requirements and the trust ecosystem for Federal credentials. The workshop will include two roundtable discussions with PACS suppliers and with EPACS implementers to provide insights into EPACS implementation best practices and directions.
