At the forefront of innovation, Oberthur Technologies scores two Sesames Awards at the “Cartes 2010” exhibition

Paris, December 7th, 2010–Oberthur Technologies’ innovative products and solutions have been recognized by the industry with two successes in the prestigious 2010 Sesames Awards, which reward the latest innovations for the digital security and smart card industries.

Transportation

Voox directly integrates a contactless antenna inside the card’s contact module. This innovation significantly enhances the robustness and reliability of dual interface cards while having a lower impact on the environment.

Mobility

Oberthur Technologies’ NFC Now offer is a complete and turnkey solution allowing the rapid deployment of mobile contactless services such as payment, transport and loyalty programs. It has already been selected by four major actors participating in the first commercial deployment in France, “Nice, NFC City”.

The SESAMES Awards ceremony took place in Paris on December 6th, and is a traditional opening to the CARTES 2010 international show, held in Paris from December 7th to 9th 2010. The SESAMES are an industry-wide acknowledgement for the most innovative products and solutions in the field of smart card technology. Oberthur Technologies won SESAMES for innovations in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 and was nominated for 4 different products this year.
