Requirements for Recertification for all CSEIP certificants
CSEIP certification is valid for two (2) calendar years after the year in which the certification was awarded, in line with federal agency requirements. You can check your CSEIP certification’s validity here:
- 2014 CSEIP certifications were valid until the end of 2016
- Expired certificants have been extended a grace period through June 2017
- 2015 CSEIP certifications will be valid until the end of 2017
- 2016 CSEIP certifications will be valid until the end of 2018
- 2017 CSEIP certifications, as well as 2017 recertifications, will be valid until the end of 2019
The CSEIP recertification takes approximately four hours and is conducted as a live, on line instructor-led webinar. Questions may be submitted electronically during the webinar. At the end of the instructor-led training and review period, an online multi-choice exam will be administered. Individuals must receive a grade of 70% or higher to achieve recertification.
Once your registration for recertification is completed, you’ll receive recertification training materials electronically. You’ll be advised to study the initial CSEIP courseware and training materials and relevant current Federal standards and documents.
