Card Personalization Validation of Mobile MasterCard® Paypass made easier
Leiden, the Netherlands, 17th of September 2012: MasterCard announced changes around Card Personalization Validation (CPV) of Mobile MasterCard PayPass M/Chip™ 4 products, making it easier for issuers to provide essential information to validate their Mobile MasterCard PayPass products.
The recently updated process guidelines by MasterCard Worldwide for CPV of Mobile MasterCard PayPass products, offers issuers the option to provide an XML image to their service provider for CPV, instead of sending a physical mobile phone.
This additional input format for CPV of Mobile MasterCard PayPass M/Chip 4 enabled products to send to the service provider offers more flexibility to the customer. The XML image can hold the verification of the cryptograms (TC and CVC3) that are needed for the dynamic tests and will substitute a physical mobile phone. Customers that do not want to ship the Mobile device to the CPV service can now send the XML image.
Berend van Geffen, Commercial Director, says: “It’s great to see our customers are given more options to validate their Mobile MasterCard PayPass products. This will provide them with more flexibility which hopefully will result in more validated Mobile MasterCard PayPass products. Collis has been accredited to perform CPV Formal Approval for MasterCard products since June 1, 2011. So for all MasterCard validation and certification services, customers can come to Collis.”
The thorough test and approval processes have been developed for all aspects of any Mobile MasterCard PayPass implementation in order to promote worldwide interoperability at an acceptable time and cost to all parties. The aim of the testing process is to increase confidence in the smooth implementation of Mobile MasterCard PayPass–everywhere it is accepted and every time it is used.
Collis assists customers with MasterCard Formal Approval Services as well as test tools such as the Collis Mobile MasterCard PayPass Test Suite to support MasterCard’s aim to promote worldwide interoperability and a world beyond cash, underscored by convenience and simplicity.
