CenPOS Leverages Ingenico’s Telium Technology at Automotive Dealerships Across the U.S.

Atlanta, GA., August 7, 2013Ingenico (Euronext: FR0000125346–ING), a leading worldwide provider of payment solutions, today announced that CenPOS, a merchant-centric end-to-end payment gateway, has successfully certified and integrated Ingenico’s iSC250 multi-lane device to its secure cloud-based payment platform. This partnership empowers automotive dealerships and other specialty merchants nationwide to streamline their payment acceptance and increase profitability.

CenPOS’ intelligent payment platform drives the customer-facing Ingenico Telium devices to promote customer engagement by capturing debit PIN entry and securing electronic signatures that are stored on the merchant’s behalf. The combined system provides a positive experience at checkout by offering the convenience to pay with any form of payment, including EMV chip card, contactless, and NFC-enabled mobile devices. CenPOS also integrated the iSC250 devices to support their End-to-End Encryption (E2E) security solution, helping automotive dealerships reduce the cost and complexity involved in being PCI compliant.

“Our partnership with Ingenico is a perfect example of how secure and innovative POS technology can drive customer conversations and bring financial benefits to merchants in any vertical. Delivering the ability to steer the customer conversation towards the least costly payment methods while having the capability to capture and complete PIN Debit and signature-capture transactions, helps businesses save time and money, while improving their customer satisfaction,” said Christopher Justice, CEO of CenPOS. “For auto dealerships, and specialty merchants in particular, that traditionally store paper receipts and have limited debit acceptance capability, pairing CenPOS with the iSC250 multi-lane device is a significant boost in operational efficiency and customer engagement.”

Together the two companies have created a customer-centric, secure and scalable payment processing solution that can be effectively leveraged by CenPOS’ network of more than 1,200 automotive dealerships nationwide. The combined solution offers dealerships payment optimization with a reduced payment processing cost.

“Today, consumers are in more control than ever before. They expect a higher level of service and the ability to pay for purchases by whatever method is most convenient for them. Dealerships are challenged to select POS technologies that are both innovative and will maintain relevancy in the future,” said Scott Tubbs, Senior Vice President, Retail Sales for Ingenico, North America. “We are pleased that CenPOS has chosen our solution device with their payment processing platform, intending to use it to create efficiency for their customers through payment innovation.”

CenPOS has already successfully rolled out the iSC250 devices across multiple auto dealerships in the U.S. The company plans to add many more dealerships later this year.
