Infineon expands its SECORA™ Pay portfolio with dual interface solutions for Discover card projects
El Segundo, Calif. – May 28, 2019 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) extends its SECORA™ Pay portfolio with new solutions to address Discover dual interface payment cards that allow both contact-based as well as contactless transactions. The solutions comprise the SECORA™ Pay S for standard payment cards and the SECORA™ Pay X for multi-application cards with a wide range of additional applications next to payment such as access, transit ticketing or loyalty. Support of selected NFC tag types to enhance the connection of the card world with the internet space also is possible.
With these new solutions, Infineon can now support card manufacturers in the U.S. and worldwide in issuing Discover card projects.
The new dual interface solutions have received a Letter of Approval from Discover in April 2019 certifying compatibility with D-PAS v1.1 specification. By expanding its SECORA™ Pay portfolio to include Discover dual interface payment cards, Discover cards as well as Network Partners Cards can now enjoy the many benefits of SECORA™ Pay.
