Extension of agreement enables HID Global to offer iCLASS Virtual Credentials

Aix en Provence, France, November 8th 2007–INSIDE Contactless, a world leader of advanced, open standard contactless chip technologies, today announced an extension of its strategic partnership agreement with HID Global, the trusted leader in providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity, to enable the use of iCLASS® technology in the new area of virtual credentials. Customers who use HID iCLASS cards with INSIDE’s core technology can also benefit from the full security features of iCLASS virtual credentials, securely delivered via HID Global’s idBank™ system, on non-traditional devices, such as Privaris’ plusID™ family of biometric tokens. The new partnership agreement expands the cooperation between the two companies.

INSIDE has been HID’s exclusive supplier of chips for iCLASS credentials since the establishment of their partnership in 2001, positioning INSIDE as the number one global provider of 13.56 MHz contactless chips for physical access control. INSIDE’s contactless chip technology has become the industry’s leading contactless solution for applications in access control, because of performance and flexibility for applications that require optimized data security and fast throughput.
