INSIDE Contactless Chosen as Finalist for Mobile Innovation Global Awards 2008

Company’s MicroRead™ Chosen in Most Innovative Device-Centric Technology Category

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France, Jan. 24, 2008 – INSIDE Contactless, a leading provider of advanced open-standard contactless chip technologies, today announced that it was chosen as a finalist for the GSMA Mobile Innovation Global Awards 2008 in the category for Most Innovative Device-Centric Technology. INSIDE’s MicroRead™ product implements Near Field Communications (NFC) with several unique technical features, which has resulted in its selection by most of the 12 GSMA-sponsored “Pay-Buy-Mobile” trials around the world. The Mobile Innovation Global Awards are designed to help thousands of small and medium-sized companies who are developing innovative mobile products and services reach mobile operators globally. Hundreds of companies compete each year, and only 10 finalists are selected.

Being a Mobile Innovation Global Award finalist is an honor that confers high visibility to the recipient. The finalists will now pitch their award candidates to a live audience and panel of industry experts at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. One finalist from each of five categories, plus one overall winner, will be announced at the event on February 12.

With more than 55 essential patents in its industry sector, and more than 12 years of experience in contactless chip design, INSIDE Contactless has the potential to win its category.

By choosing INSIDE Contactless as a finalist, the jury of the Mobile Innovation Global Award validates the potential of NFC and contactless technology, and confirms the trend through which it is set to profoundly change the relationship between users and their environment.
