LaserCard to Speak at Third Central European Electronic Card Conference in Warsaw, Poland, December 1 – 2

Mountain View, Calif., Dec. 1, 2010–LaserCard Corporation (NASDAQ:LCRD; http://www.lasercard.com), a leading provider of secure ID solutions, will take part in a panel discussion on “Modern European ID documents as tools for building an information society and trans-border services” at the Third Central European Electronic Card Conference (CEEC) being held December 1-2 in Warsaw, Poland. Uwe Ludwig, LaserCard’s Vice President of Sales, EMEA, will discuss why governments worldwide have come to depend upon the Company’s polycarbonate ID credentials featuring Optical Security Media, frequently combined with integrated microprocessors, to meet their off-line and on-line operational needs.

“Our multi-technology credentials constitute a real technological breakthrough,” said Ludwig. “We deliver millions of cards every year, including national ID cards associated with high security requirements, and these multi-technology ID credentials lead the industry in resistance to tampering and counterfeiting.”

Increasing demand for powerful ID solutions incorporating high security, durability and broad functionality, adds a new dimension of sophistication to ID credentialing programs. The Company’s Optical Security Media technology delivers unalterable visual security and data storage, which supports not only on-line operation, but also real-time, high security, low risk off-line operation for maximum flexibility. This approach to credential design recently defined a new standard for the U.S. Green Card program.

The new U.S. Green Card is the second generation based on LaserCard’s Optical Security Media (OSM) and is the first to combine OSM with an RFID tag to support border facilitation. The credential was judged the world’s leading government ID card in terms of technology and user utility in a July, 2010 report by analyst firm Frost & Sullivan and continues to deliver a never exceeded standard for uncompromised security in an application still relevant after more than 12 years.
