CoreStreet Executive to Serve as Liaison to All Hazards Consortium Regional Working Group

Leader in Credential Validation Solutions Tapped to Help Elevate Awareness of Emergency Response Interoperability

Cambridge, Mass., December 8, 2009–CoreStreet, the leader in credential validation solutions, today announced that Senior Vice President John Bys has been asked to serve in a volunteer liaison capacity to the All Hazards Consortium (AHC). In this role, Mr. Bys will work with key state stakeholders on the Critical Infrastructure Protection Working Group to help facilitate collaboration between the states and the federal government on critical credentialing related issues of emergency response interoperability.

The role of the AHC Liaison is to provide support to the Consortium states, including NC, DC, MD, VA, WV, DE, PA, NJ and NY, in their collaboration efforts with leaders from the public and private sectors, higher education, research, non-profit, and volunteer organizations.

“Emergency Response Officials are fully aware that Incident Command occurs at the local level. During any hazardous incident, local emergency response officials need to be confident that an individual’s most current, verifiable source of identity can be used to prove the responder’s qualifications from their authoritative source. This allows rapid deployment of personnel for both response and recovery,” said John Bys, senior vice president, CoreStreet. “CoreStreet is honored to work alongside the various state stakeholders of the AHC to promote this “solution neutral” message–most importantly the vital role that information interoperability standards play in providing data to make critical life-saving decisions, even in lights out/comms out scenarios.”

“The AHC Liaison role assists the AHC’s Working Group leadership on a wide array of regional issues and is an important role in the public/private sector collaboration process,” said Tom Moran, executive director, AHC. “Our nomination of John Bys from CoreStreet as a trusted liaison is an important step in our process. As the AHC’s “culture of collaboration” expands, trusted agents in the private sector like John are engaged to help the working groups in various ways, all on a volunteer basis. This is a wonderful thing for the states.”
