The leading provider of contactless smart card technology presents enhanced functions of its LEGIC advant technology.

Zurich, August 2008–From 7 to 10 October, LEGIC® Identsystems Ltd, leading provider of contactless smart card technology, will be at the exhibition centre in Essen/Germany (Hall 3.0/Stand 306), presenting new possibilities in the field of contactless smart card technology for personal identification. LEGIC is extending its trusted and proven physical security system, Master-Token System Control™ (MTSC) to include advanced functions to improve safety and user flexibility.

While in many fields of access control, in e-payment and biometric applications, passwords are mostly used, LEGIC’s security concept is based on a physical Master-Token in the form of a contactless smart card. The Master-Token guarantees security thanks to a genetic code that authorises the reading and writing of data. The genetic code can only be transmitted to cards and readers with the Master-Token. At the SECURITY 2008 trade fair, LEGIC will be presenting the latest developments to this trusted and proven system, which will increase opportunities for end users.
