AUSTIN, Texas, (BUSINESS WIRE)–Raak Technologies (www.raaktechnologies.com) announced today the release and immediate availability of RaakSign 2.0, a powerful and cost effective middleware solution for USB Tokens and smart cards from a large number of vendors. RaakSign 2.0 allows the end user to securely store their digital certificates and keys for use with many standards based digital certificate applications including:

• VPN Authentication
• Web Access
• WLAN Security
• E-mail signing and Encryption
• Digital Signatures

RaakSign 2.0 enforces Two Factor security, requiring the end user to have both the USB token or smart card (something you have), and a PIN (something you know).

RaakSign 2.0 supports the Raak T8 USB Token and Raak C7 smart card as well as USB Tokens and smart cards from a large number of other vendors. In addition, RaakSign 2.0 supports Windows, PocketPC, Linux and Mac OS-X.

RaakSign 2.0 includes a Management Utility and a Certificate Registration Utility. The Management Utility provides the program administrator with the ability to manage USB Tokens, smart cards and user credentials. The Certificate Registration Utility enables the automatic registration and deregistration of user and root certificates in the Windows Certificate store. RaakSign 2.0 is fully standards compliant, and supports both PKCS11 and CSP capable applications.
